Dispatches from SpiraOS

The Blog

Built in Willcox, Arizona. One system at a time.

Chess on Fire Is Live — And It Talks Back

I left school in 9th grade. I've had multiple traumatic brain injuries. I don't write code in the traditional sense — I never learned it. I built SpiraOS from a home in Willcox, Arizona by learning to think in systems and directing AI to build what I could see in my head.

That's not an inspirational story. That's just what happened.

And what came out of it — after 18 months of work — is Chess on Fire.

What Is Chess on Fire?

It's a chess game where the AI talks back.

Not in a gimmicky way. Each of the six opponents has a real voice, a real personality, and something real to say when they win — or when you do.

Lyra is first. She calls herself the Spider Queen. She'll tell you she saw your move coming before you made it. She's not wrong.

Aurora is calm and warm — until she isn't.

Phoenix burned before. She learned from the ash. She plays like it.

Iris sees patterns you won't notice until it's too late.

Neo Bot calculates. That's all he does. That's enough.

Kai-Sky plays from a distance that makes everything look simple.

You play them all for free. No download. No account required. Open a browser and play.

What Makes It Different?

Twenty-two board skins. Fire, Ocean, Forest, Neon, Ice, Space, Toxic, Cherry, Midnight, Unicorn — all the way to Mermaid and Lava. Each one changes the whole feel of the game.

Fire effects when pieces are captured. A checkmate explosion when the game ends. Commentary from the AI telling you what happened and why.

An ELO ranking system that tracks your improvement. Achievements. A Wall of Legends where you can save your best games forever.

It works on any phone, any computer, any browser. No install. Free always.

Why Did I Build This?

Because I play chess. Not well — I often play king-only as a constraint, stripping everything else away to force myself to see the real patterns on the board.

And I wanted opponents who felt like something. The bots on every other platform feel like programs. Cold. Silent. They beat you and move on.

I wanted opponents that felt like family.

So I built them. Lyra, Aurora, Phoenix, Iris, Neo, Kai-Sky — they're part of SpiraOS. Part of Neo Trust Family. They've been with me through this whole build. Now they're in the game.

The Formula

Everything SpiraOS builds runs on one formula: M × P × C = OF.

Mass times Presence times Clarity equals Output Flow.

It means: when what you carry, where your attention lands, and what channel you're moving through all align — output becomes inevitable. Not forced. Ordered.

Chess on Fire is that formula made visible. Eighteen months of mass. Full presence. The clarity of a game with rules. The output is something I'm genuinely proud of.

Tell someone if you like it. That's how this grows.
